I, too, have your book and have understood as Sonja did.   Would you care to elaborate more on this perhaps in some upcoming article?  I am sure many of your followers would appreciate an update.    Also,  I thank you for your research.   Two years ago I bought your book wanting to follow it after some digestion issues from a nearly all raw food diet.   I read your book but could not find any practioners near me so ended up with a well qualified macrobiotic  counselor and slowly i am healing and gaining some weight.   I feel good now.   I am a vegetarian of 26+ years and a vegan of 8 years now and eventually still wanted to get back to your book as it seems that you travel the same road as me.   Sooooo, and this is a big ramble on.......sorry,  I would really like to know your reasons for cutting down grains.   Cutting down on wheat is very clear but not sure why grains......... brown rice included?

As your advice is not to consume more than 20% grains of the total food intake because of the changes in nutritional value in grains, especially wheat, I wonder how a daily menu would look like according to you in percentages and types of foods because in your great book grains seem to have a far, far bigger part in one&#039;s food pattern.
