Sharla Chao-Zi Cooper has been a passionate foodie her whole life. Over the last 6 years she has focused on the healing aspects of food, fusing Eastern remedies and Western nutritional therapies.
Her emphasis is on a holistic approach, integrating diet with meditation, Qi gong and ancient wisdom. She has co-organized and led several intensives and classes. She teaches workshops based on whole foods preparation, fermentation and education.
She has been working and studying with Paul Pitchford over the last 4 years, working closely with clients and at intensive workshops. Sharla has provided dietary and teaching support at his Healing with Whole Foods intensives by providing live demonstrations, hands on workshops and being lead chef for the freshly prepared meals for the students through the durations of the retreats.
Sharla currently lives in Chicago and works one-on-one with clients, teaches workshops, and continues to combine her two favorite things, food and healing.
